Hey everyone!
I'm new to this forum. I've been HCRV for going on 5 days now, and it's going relatively well. I'm getting in 3,000 cals a day, drinking lots of water, and getting as much sleep as I can. However, my asthma has been HORRIBLE! Should I expect my asthma to get worse before it starts getting better? My hope is that I will be able to get off all of my asthma medication through this lifestyle.

My dad had asthma almost all his life, it was so horrible that we all thought that one day he will die because of it... he needed an asthma-spray every 15 minutes!! It was 10 years ago when he healed asthma (at this time we were not "raw" yet, just ate a "normal standard diet") when he cut out ALL animals proteins and products of his diet. Against all the doctors who told him to drink more milk, SO stupid!!!!!!
So I REALLY think that a raw food diet will heal your asthma. I can imagine that it gets worse in the beginning because of all the mucus and stuff that is in your body, but it will get better ... I hope it so much and I'm really of the opinion that you will heal it.
All the best to you from my heart! Peace& love from Desi

I previously had asthma and mild allergies. While over all things are improved, on ozone action days, I can still have mild symptoms.
I eat a few mono meals of oranges. Oranges are anti inflammatory, anti pain, anti histamine, and have some compounds similar to caffeine that can open bronchial airways.
I also drink plenty of water like 3-4 quarts on those days, and rest.
Give yourself a few weeks, and overall, you asthma symptoms should improve, heal, and possibly disappear altogether.
Peace, PK
