My boyfriend and I are moving to a house in the mountains for the month of July and I was thinking: Maybe banana island would be a really good thing during that month because grocery stores will be scarce around there and since I wont be working then I wont really have much money. The only thing that I have a problem with is wondering if this is really good for my health since I will only be getting nutrition from bananas. Will that leave me lacking in other nutrients? Many people on here talk about mono island as really superior to anything else so I was wondering why that was besides giving your digestion a break from needing to digest all the different kinds of foods that it usually gets.

I see no reason to do it. Just get whatever is around and eat that.

We store minerals and vitamins to go for long periods. Plus bananas are the closest to the perfect ratio of nutrients for human needs. Other benefits to island eating are getting used to eating for nutrition instead of entertainment, focusing more on other things like sleep and hydration.
