45 ?i never thot that was possible either ,how was it ,and how much water did you drink, was it hard?i think iwould gulp 10ltrs a day ,lolthanks Gia for the reply ,
Fasting for weight loss is the worst reason to fast.

Ive got a few mates that have and they have almost gone crazy at how fast the weight slaps back on em and then some. Fasting is good for illness and should ALWAYS be supervised by someone with the experience of Doug Graham otherwise we just set ourselves up for chronic fatigue, mental issues, digestion issues etc. Its sad to see. Our housemate died last year fasting unsupervised. She didnt drink enough water and developed renal failure.

Ive got another mate that juice fasted and dropped lots of chub but then just binged out and lost most of their teeth..all they had to do was believe that they could eat all the sweet fruit they cared for (3000+calories a day) and then they would more motivation to exercise and that is the best way to burn the chub.
Starve, binge, starve, binge..the only way out of the cycle is when we DECIDE to make dietary and lifestyle changes that include a calorie rich high carb, low fat diet coupled with learning the joy of movement and living with passion.
Yes, I wouldn't recommend fasting for weight loss. I agree with the others - fasting is for serious purposes. Weight loss is MUCH easier if you have enough calories in order to have the energy for exercise.
We dont use organ tissue or muscle for fuel over fat during a fast. When we are fasting we are using fat stores almost exclusively. 1 week of fasting will burn around 1kg of fat. You can burn burn that much calories in a day hike with friends! A lot more fun and the increase in fitness burns even more calories. Again thats why frequent fasters are usually fatter than frequent exercisers...

If the fast extends over a long period, then and only then will the body use muscle. The body wont burn a kidney before a bicep. :)

Best way to drop fat is eat a high calorie, high carb ,low fat raw vegan diet cos that helps us have sufficient glycogen stores for everday activities which in the long run ,keep us fit n trim n happy n healthy FOR LIFE.

I know that everyone deserves long term solutions rather than quick fix ideas that just hurt us and everyone around us in the long run.

Hey gang, just some tips from someone that is trim, slim, fit, healthy n happy and eats as much sweets as I care for.
thanks guys for the replies ,i ve learnt something here,
