30 Bananas a Day!

so there seems to be this very strange idea circulating that rawveg folks don't have a sense of humor, that their diet makes them morose or their dedication to animals lead them inevitably to having to 'get a life'. of course, this is pure nonsense that can only be conjured up within desperate and envious minds.

still, since we here communicate the rawveg message, we should make it one of our callings to dispell this myth.

the purpose of this thread is to provide useful resources to that effect, so please contribute any bahaha's you have come across and if you haven't, then by all means create some - and you don't need to restrict yourselves to only 30!

please permit me to start us off:

Some people find eating dates have a real calming effect on them - they feel sedated.

ok ... how about ...

This person had severe constipation, naturally as a result of animal protein consumption and finally went to an intelligent and friendly, strict vegetarian nutritionist who put him, naturally on a strict vegetarian diet that in a short period of time got rid of the constipation (and also helped eliminate several other ailments that we all know about). Much relieved, he sincerely and accurately thanked the nutritionist exclaiming, "With friends like you, who needs enemas!"

ok, ok ... so i won't quit my day job.

prad,

that's just well, really amusing, but judging by the activity on this thread i think you can really use some help.

how about this:

So gangster Bugsie after a successful week's work goes to his boss (who recently turned veg and took up yoga) to collect his paycheck. His boss gives him a large bundle of organic celery and a jar of homemade organic veg dip to go along with it. A somewhat surprised Bugsie exclaims, "Hey Boss! What's this? You think I'm a bunny or something?" The Boss simply replies, "Om, no Bugs. It's your take home celery."

and now for some useful day-to-day living advice.

Q. prad, just how does a dedicated vegetarian gracefully exit a meeting, a get-together or a party?
A. well all he or she simply needs to say is, "lettuce leaves".

Q. prad, what vegetarian product can be helpful for cleaning teeth?
A. i think it's called lentil floss.

lol, thats so clever Josh, I love it.

oooooo now i know what was going on when some of my "health-conscious" friends decided to go on the Master Cleanse as a last ditch effort to feel good.

A couple of veggies didn't want to get married because their families wanted them to have an oranged marriage. So they took off even though they were told they cantaloupe.

speaking of cantaloupe, prad, there is a very important food combining dictum that says you should never eat cauliflowers and watermelons at the same meal. doing so could make you meloncaulic.

Five stars
LOL!!! hey, did you make that up yourself? That's excellent! ;D

Well Done!
thank you kindly drakoneia!
around our place, i guess this sort of thing has become a bit of a pradition.

one has to be careful though when involving certain fruits in this activity, because some of them can be potentially dangerous like the pomegrenade. while some may grape about this berry serious matter, i'm certain others don't give a fig.
