30 Bananas a Day!

Hey guys, so I have a skin question:

Before I was raw (lfrv mostly), my skin was the best, very soft, like a baby's skin.
Now that I've been on this path for a half a year, my skin is rough, I get pimples like few bigger but moslty very tiny pipmles all over my face and chest, almost like very irregular skin.

What is going on?

I know most of you are going to say "you're detoxing", but seriously, It's been long, Im waiting for it to go away, but it's still here and it doesn't seem to be getting better.

Anyone has gone through the same?
Could it be an allergy to something? maybe to the chemicals some fruits might have on them? Or simple allergy to a fruit?
Or is it not enough fat?
Or some liver or other organs reflect on my skin?

I went to a japanese doctor the other day, and he said I'm in really good health (strong kidneys, liver, lungs, stomach, intestine, etc.). So I really don't know what could be that's causing this.

Thanks for any advise/help/insight.

Yeah, even though it seems like a long time, years and years of indiscretion aren't going to be repaired quickly. Your body is not only ridding itself of junk, it's also replacing skin cells built of inferior nutrition with new, healthier, fresher ones. So, all this work is gonna take a bit longer. But it will be SO COOL when it's done with its magnificent work! Your skin will be healthier and have a much more refined texture. Hang in there! xxoo
Thank you Ana! I guess you're right... I'm looking forward to the ultimate results later on down the road... the only thing is I keep thinking that my relapses won't let it be healed (read I don't always eat 80-10-10, I have to admit I mostly do 70-20fat-10protein). But I guess I'll still detox... so many years of excess salt and cooked food have to come out of the system some way... SO thank you for reminding me of the miracle my body is, and the time and patience it needs when it's doing its job.

how long have you been on this track? did you experience things like this? thank you again!

Your body is always building and repairing, even when you're not 'perfect' (what is THAT anyways? smile), it will sometimes just take longer. Plus, your body functions on its own time, not necessarily within the timeframe that we want.

Then, too, there are all those other conditions of optimal health (sleep, water, emotional poise, etc.) that do their part in creating the lovely skin of yours. So, it's not just diet that will produce healthful results.

Oh my gosh, I have had so many things change on my skin. Scars and moles have fallen off, I've had rashes and hives periodically; I've gone through those tough times when my skin just looks so, well...dead, only to be followed by periods when it is so clear and rosy, etc. It's a process that never ends. But if we just concentrate on living the best life we can, health-wise, things will just keep getting better and better. Enjoy the journey!
Hey! :) You are awesome, thank you so much! I feel so much more...well, supported! :) Thank you. I did have a little mole that fell off about a month ago! I guess didn't necessarily connect it to the diet, but you're right, that is it too! :) As for emotional poise, well, I am going through some big changes in life, so that is probably reflecting on the skin as well.
I drink more water now than I ever did before, especially in the morning, so maybe that is speeding up the cleasnig process on the skin.
Thank you for sharing your experience!
Allergy could be due to pesticides on shop bought sparayed fruit : The list is based on pesticide tests conducted after the produce was washed with USDA high-power pressure water system. NOT applicable for home grown, or organically grown :
If you're using a type of liquid soap , stop using it - they're full of detergents.
Try Rice bran oil mixed with 20% Jojoba oil - if the dry skin is persistent.

Perhaps the most overlooked skin treatment - magnesium oil - which is just Mag Chloride in water, could be used. Dilute it -as sold its far too strong. Note its not an oil , and Dead Sea salt is 30% magnesium chloride , 6% sodium is cheapest and best to try as 5% solution, as an astringent cleanser, wipe off , but dont wash it off. Caution with premixed liquid Mag it will burn skin - dilute with 5 - 10 times water.
and increase vit K , Inositol , Biotin , lecithin thru your preferred source.
Advice found : increase amino acids Methionine and Lysine with Zinc / Copper at 5:1 ratio Zn:Cu zinc deficiency causes poor healing , and increase of infection.
Excess Calcium displaces zinc , so it makes sense to check body mineral assay.
This is not medical advice, just basic research which is offered to further your study. As to the fruit :, not a great selection but they were tested ...
At least you can check your diet for pesticide, if you reduce any contaminated fruit . veg ,

The Dirty Dozen ( its pretty hopeless, as potatoes are in both losts )

Celery Peaches Strawberries Apples Domestic blueberries Nectarines
Sweet bell peppers Spinach, kale and collard greens Cherries Potatoes
Imported grapes Lettuce

The group found a number of non-organic fruits and vegetables dubbed the "Clean 15" that contained little to no pesticides.

The Clean 13 ( pretty sure bananas would be here )

Avocados Sweet corn Pineapples Mango Sweet peas Asparagus
Kiwi fruit Cabbage Eggplant Cantaloupe Watermelon Grapefruit
Sweet potatoes
I'd be very apprehensive about putting anything on my skin that has the potential to burn it, even when diluted in water.
I agree with Ana, it takes time to rid your body of accumulated junk.
I would go with more natural methods if I were you. After suffering from severe acne for 7 years, I found that simply water and a face brush works best. Face brushing is a great way to increase circulation and rid your skin of excess buildup. You also can try using shea butter on your skin or even coconut oil. You only need very small quantities of both.
Thank you guys!
I feel your pain love. My face, chest and neck has countless little red bumps. I think it's detox. I stopped using all chemical face products and even birth control pills, so my body is expelling everything it has been holding back for the last 8 years. Thanks to others on 30BAD I have realized that getting it will take a some time to undo such a long time of damage. I trust in nature figuring this out, so that I can enjoy life in the mean time.
Personally I don't agree with the detox theory. Yes is it will take a long time to repair the overall damage, but it wouldn't affect your skin for more than a month or two (at most).
Keep track of your omega ratio and incorporate a lot of fresh veg. Organic is of course preferable as said above, but organic or not these foods should be contributing to a healthy skin. I'm currently having a few similar problems.
The skin vitamins are A, C, E and K, and make sure your getting all your minerals - or as much as possible. I think everyone struggles with zinc on this diet - but to me all that says is that the usda guidelines overcompensate. Get enough sleep and try not to use chemicals on your skin :)
Didn't know about this, thanks for the tip!
