I wrote this epic blog post as an antithesis against the stupid lies I keep hearing about fruit from the fruit-phobic masses.
"But the anti-fruit brigade only ever tell us about fruit, and go on to extoll the virues of meat (Paleo fruit-phobes) or greens (raw vegan fruit phobes)."
I believe this should read virtues not virues. Am I right?
yes! I have missing letters from my laptop keyboard and make hideous amounts of typos lol
I wrote an article about that last year I think, it's a featured discussion somewhere on here...
Thanks Star! I have bookmarked this in my references and featured this!
this is really helpful. thank you =)
Lovely post. My favorite part was when you debunked Paleo-diet enthusiasts who believe fruit makes people fat, but you clearly show our society has had a huge decrease in fruit while we get fatter and fatter.
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this article! Thank you, Star!
I was laughing at #8, because I just had a conversation with a friend of mine who spends all her money on brand name clothes, still has money to get that $5 Frappuccino from 'Starjucks' every day and complains that a fruity diet would bust her budget... *smh
aw glad everyone liked it, sorry not been on here for a while - too busy chasing the tails of the fruit-phobic LOL
I was thinking about the cost of this regime recently and I started to list all the things I do not spend money on:
coffee, tea, bread, butter, milk, breakfast cereal (hello five dollar box of Corn Pops), cheese, eggs, meat, fish, ice cream, pasta, sauces, cake, cookies, crackers, condiments, wine, beer, candy.........etc, etc, etc. By not buying any of these, I can buy fruit.
Additionally, with the corn crop failure in the U.S., a lot of processed food (what doesn't contain corn additives?) and meat (animal corn feed) is going to skyrocket this year. People will have to find alternatives. Let's hope they find the right alternatives.
